How do I access the Seneca Trade Portal?

You can access the Seneca Trade Portal from your computer, tablet, or mobile phone. 

Go to https://senecatrade.com and log in with your account information,

How do I create a Seneca Trade Portal Account?

Once you have set up your facility with Seneca Trade Partners you will be able to access the Seneca Trade Portal. 

Visit https://senecatrade.com/ and click "Sign up" at the bottom of the screen.

Follow the on-screen prompts to create your account. 

The Seneca Trade Partners team will then verify your information and give you access to your account information in the portal.

Speak to your account manager if you have any difficulties.

What is multifactor authentication?

Seneca Trade Partners take the protection of our client data very seriously and we implement strong security measures and enhanced login security to keep data safe.

Although we have never been actively attacked through phishing or account takeovers, they still pose a risk to the security of our business. On their own usernames and passwords do not always provide sufficient protection against some of these threats.

Multifactor Authentication (MFA) limits the threat by requiring people to supplement their passwords with an additional verification method to confirm who they are.

MFA requires both methods to access your account:

  • Something you know – your Seneca Trade Portal email and password
  • Something you have – a code from a text message on your phone or a code generated by an authentication app on your phone.

It means that even if your password is compromised, an attacker still needs your other factor to log in. It adds an additional layer of security to your Seneca Trade account and reduces the likelihood of a successful attack.

How do I set up multifactor authentication?

When you create your Seneca Trade Portal account you will be asked to set up multifactor authentication.

Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process. You can choose to use choose if you want to use an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) or set up text message SMS authentication. 

If you are using the device for the first time you will need to provide your multi-factor code. This will grant you access to the Seneca Trade Portal on that device for 30 days, after which you will need to use your multi-factor code again.

How secure is the Seneca Trade Portal?

Seneca Trade Partners take the protection of our client data very seriously and we implement strong security measures and enhanced login security to keep data safe.

We have gone to great lengths to ensure that the Seneca Trade Portal is safe and secure so businesses can feel comfortable accessing their account information online. 

The Seneca Trade Partners team will never ask for your password or your SMS/authenticator verification code.

Can I install the Seneca Trade app on my device?

The Seneca Trade Portal is a Progressive Web App, meaning you can use the portal through your browser, or you can install it on your computer or mobile device for more convenience and faster access.

How to install the Seneca Trade portal varies depending on the device you are using.

Using Chrome (mobile)

  • Go to senecatrade.com
  • At the top right of the screen, click on the three dots
  • On mobile devices, click the install symbol
  • Follow the on-screen instructions

Using Chrome (desktop)

  • Go to senecatrade.com
  • At the top right of the screen, next to the address bar, click on the three dots
  • On desktops, select “Apps”, then “Install this site as an app
  • Follow the on-screen instructions

Using iOS & Safari

  • Go to senecatrade.com in Safari
  • Select the ‘Share’ button, and then tap ‘Add to Home Screen.’ 
  • Enter the name Seneca Trade Portal for the app then select add. 
  • Seneca Trade Portal will show up on your home screen like a regular native iOS app.

Using Windows (Edge) 

  • Go to senecatrade.com
  • At the top right of the screen, click on the three dots
  • Select “Apps”, then “Install this site as an app”
  • Follow the on-screen instructions
How do I see my interest rate?

You can see information about your interest by selecting "Terms" in the Interest section of the Seneca Trade Portal.

In this section, you can see your interest rate on any new capital advances, minimum days charged and repayment terms.

Why is my recent transaction or payment not showing in the portal?

You can see the date of your most recent transaction in the account information section on the home screen.

Transactions made recently may not appear immediately and may take up to one working day to appear in the Seneca Trade Portal.

If you believe a transaction has not appeared in the Seneca Trade Portal after one working day, please contact the Seneca Trade Partners team.

Why is my recent repayment not showing?

Repayments made recently may not appear immediately and may take up to one working day to appear in the Seneca Trade Portal.

You can see the date of your most account update in the account information section on the home screen.

If you believe a repayment has not appeared in the Seneca Trade Portal after one working day, please contact the Seneca Trade Partners team.

Can I make payments through the Seneca Trade Portal?

You cannot currently make a payment to Seneca Trade Partners directly through the online account.

Please contact your account manager to arrange a payment.

Can I download my statements and invoices in the Seneca Trade Portal?

You cannot currently download or view statements or invoices in the Seneca Trade Portal. We are hoping to add this feature shortly so please check back soon.

Can I add another member of the company to my Seneca Trade Portal account?

Contact the Seneca team if you need to add another person to the management of your Seneca Trade Portal account.

I have multiple Seneca Trade accounts. Can I view them all in the Portal?

Yes, once the Seneca Team has verified your information, you can view all your accounts in the portal. 

To switch between accounts, tap the account name at the top of any app screen. This will bring up the names of other accounts you have access to. Select the name of the account you wish to view. The portal will reload with the new account data.

Can I provide feedback or make a suggestion to improve the portal?

Yes! We're always keen to hear from our clients so we can make the Seneca Trade Portal even better. 

We're already planning more features and ways to improve the app but if you have a suggestion we'd love to hear it.
